Strobel's big night at the plate helps A's top Hustisford
The A's downed Hustisford 10-4 on Wednesday night officially knocking Hustisford out of the playoff race in the process. Jason Strobel, who has fought the injury bug all season, belted a three run home run in the 1st inning to give the A's a quick 3-1 lead. Hustisford came back though putting single runs on the board in the 3rd and 5th innings to tie the score at 3-3. Hustisford used a bases loaded walk in the 6th to give them their first lead of the night at 4-3. With Kewaskum starter [Rob Michalkawicz] beginning to tire, Jake Panzer came on in relief and escaped a bases loaded mess when he got a double play ball to end the inning.

The A's rode that momentum into their at-bat, as Panzer led off the inning with a double to the gap in left-center. A sacrifice bunt moved Panzer to third and Ty Schill knocked him in with a RBI groundout to tie the game at 4-4. Austin Sarauer broke the tie as he followed with a solo home run to put the A's up 5-4. Matt Meisenheimer and Dan Shea kept the inning going as they each ripped singles bringing up Strobel. Strobel jumped on the first pitch he saw for his second three run homer of the night putting the A's up 8-4. Kewaskum tacked on two insurance runs in the 8th, as they went on to the 10-4 win. Jason Strobel led the way at the plate going 3x3 (2 HR's, 6 RBI's), while Matt Meisenheimer, Rob Michalkaewicz and Jim Ziegler all chipped in with two hits on the night. Jake Panzer picked up the win in relief tossing 3 2/3 scoreless innings.
